Students will depart from the US around June 18, 2018. Students will return to the US around July 8, 2018.

Projected itinerary:

Students planning to attend the entire program will arrive to Perú around June 18, 2017. They will fly from Charlotte to Lima to Cusco, Perú's internationally famous crown jewel, the program's homebase for the Spanish language immersion and volunteering portion of the program.

During their weeks in Cusco, students will study Spanish in private, small group classes coordinated by the well known and respected Amigos Spanish School; students and Patrick will also enjoy homestays with Cusqueñan families who've long worked with Amigos. Students and Patrick will also be volunteering at Aldea Yanapay, a wonderful organization that devotes its energies primarily to school-aged kids from difficult circumstances, running a fantastic after-school program in addition that provides education, support and essentials (like meals!).

Between Spanish classes, cultural activities (both those provided by and independent of Amigos Spanish School), volunteering and time with families, students will be nearly constantly immersed through the first two weeks. It will be an unforgettable experience, and one that will build indestructible bonds between our students and the people they meet.

  • Homestays with remarkable, loving, and highly experienced Cusqueñan families.
